The Ammonite Solaris NextGen Light Head is built to withstand the harshest conditions with up to 4500 lumens of light with a narrow 6º beam surrounded by a bright glow. Depending on the battery used, operational burn times range between 3 to 8 hours.
LED Solaris NextGen has a tough aluminium design, offering protection against knocks and scratches, a 200m depth rating and a comfortable ergonomic design.
Ammonite System is modular
Due to the modular design concept, you can configure your umbilical light set regarding your needs.
All Ammonite umbilical lights, cables, batteries and heating batteries are equipped with the same chinch-type connector. So when one of the parts wears out, or you would want to upgrade it, there are no obstacles to doing so.
Modularity also affects the convenience of use and safety. For example, you can change the broken cable for a new one on the diving spot without sending it to the service centre.
Ammonite Solaris NextGen Light Head burn times
Ammonite System Solaris NextGen light head burn times vary depending on the battery you will be using and the power setting. The chart below is based on the 9, 10, 14 and 24Ah battery sets that can be purchased with the light head all-inclusive in the Ammonite Solaris Light Kit.
Solaris is durable and compact
Ammonite Solaris NextGen Light Head is built from hard anodised marine aluminium, making it resistant to corrosion, knocks and scratches and depth rated to 200m.
Easy to operate switch knob is made of lightweight but very tough and resistant to environmental conditions polymer (Delrin®). The 6mm front glass is made of highly resistant tempered glass.
Yet while exceptionally durable, it only weighs 340g, making it easy to hold by hand or with one of Ammonite System Goodman handles, so you have lots of flexibility. The light head is 117mm in length and 61mm in diameter.
Take me home mode
The inner microchip system signals a low battery level with a strobe flash. When the battery is drained, it automatically switches to take “Take me home” mode (light output at 20% light intensity).
"Take me home" is a backup mode to which Ammonite umbilical lights switch when the battery is drained. Light will continue operating for at least 1 hour or more depending on the light and used battery. Light will only work in "take me home" mode until the battery is recharged.
