Aqualung Leg3nd MBS Regulator offers a revolutionary combination of the Venturi effect and inhalation effort adjustment that feels natural and intuitive.
The Master Breathing System (MBS) allows divers to fine-tune their breathing in one simple rotation of the control knob. The MBS will adapt to all depths, conditions, and dives.
Complete Aqualung Leg3nd MBS Regulator set includes
- Aqualung Leg3nd 1st stage (DIN or A-clamp)
- Aqualung Leg3nd MBS 2nd Stage with Aqua Flex hose
- Aqualung Leg3nd Octopus with yellow Aqua Flex hose
Aqualung Leg3nd MBS Second Stage
The Leg3nd MBS has a simple and intuitive control system that controls both the Venturi effect and the inhalation effort adjustment in one turn of the knob.
New front cover opening channels allow water to flow sideways over the diaphragm. Radial openings to prevent freeflows when diving in stronger currents. Openings widened to reduce peak inspiratory flow by an impressive 20%.
New over-moulded exhaust cover made of elastomer with a “soft touch” effect.
The over-moulded air purge with a wide surface area makes regulator purging easier. The purge depth controller optimises airflow with minimal effort.
A patented Comfobite mouthpiece reduces jaw fatigue and secures the second stage more comfortably. The detachable and reusable mouthpiece clamp allows a quick, simple, tool-free mouthpiece change without plastic waste.
The enlarged heat exchanger helps to prevent freezing of the second stage mechanism.
The air channel deflector directs the airflow evenly during the inhalation phase. Streamlined bi-material deflector lowers the exhalation effort.
Aqualung Leg3nd First Stage
When the first stage is not connected to a cylinder valve, the Auto Closure Device (ACD) keeps the inlet shut to protect the first-stage internal parts from contamination and corrosive water. This preserves the internal lubrication, keeps the inlet filter clean and dry and is safer for elevated percentages of oxygen.
Where there's no moisture, there's no ice. Exceptional cold-water performance is achieved by modernising Aqualung's three anti-freeze properties.
The Leg3nd's integrated dry chamber keeps inner components clean and dry by isolating them from the outside environment. Deep ribs create a large heat exchange surface area that helps to prevent ice from forming on the mechanism. The new over-moulded cap delays ice forming over the external diaphragm.
Auto-Balanced (also known as Over-Balanced) diaphragm for superior performance. Progressive increase of the working pressure to maintain optimum breathing efforts. Depending on the diver's depth, the working pressure of the first stage is automatically elevated to counteract the increased breathing air density.
Ergonomically shaped DIN and YOKE screws made of a bi-material “Soft Grip” surface provide a better hold when installing or removing the first stage – especially with cold hands. Channelled YOKE screw to prevent water retention. Specialised ACD Dust cap attached to the regulator body to protect the inlet fitting and the ACD system from impacts or damage
Perfectly positioned HP and MP ports provide optimal hose routing.
Aqualung Leg3nd Octopus
When performance is your highest priority for your alternate air source, the Aqua Lung Leg3nd Octopus is the answer.
The Leg3nd Octopus shares the same breathing characteristics with the Leg3nd Elite and Leg3nd MBS regulators. The familiar Venturi switch now features an updated and ergonomic design for ease of use.
