Why Portland?

We’re located on the Isle of Portland (in Dorset) because Portland has been one of the most popular scuba diving locations in the United Kingdom even before we set up operations here back in the year 2000.

On one side, we’re minutes away from the sheltered waters of Portland Marina and Harbour, while on the other, it’s just a brief walk to reach our famous scuba diving destination Chesil Cove and start of the 16-mile-long Chesil Beach.  

Portland’s location makes it ideal for scuba diving, freediving, snorkelling and other surface water sports activities.

Alongside dive clubs, many instructors and dive schools travel here to train and offer scuba diving certification ranging from open water diver to mixed-gas tech diving or rebreather diving levels.

Whether you’re doing a boat dive from Portland Marina or Castletown or a shore dive at Chesil Cove, Portland is well known for offering many possibilities: Reef diving to wreck diving and night diving, underwater photography or underwater videography. Using the intuitive magnetic switch system, it is possible to change to 1800 lumen, which doubles the burn time. With a precise beam angle of 10°, the light projected is highly effective in any environment, highlighting objects, whatever the water condition.

Three light modes

Variable 3-mode power levels allow you to customise the light output and burn time.

The first turn of the magnetic ring in any direction switches the light to 360-lumen mode, which can be used on the surface safely.

Another turn in a clockwise direction switches the light into the half-power 1800 lumen, which is excellent in murky water.

The third turn with the magnetic rings starts the full power mode, producing a brilliant 3600-lumen beam.



Finn Light 3600 optics

There are three powered LED diodes Cree XML providing 3600 lumens. They shine with cold white light at 6300 Kelvin and guarantee 10,000 hours of permanent usage.

Exceptionally effective optics concentrate the light at a 10-degree angle and gives the optimised shape of the beam! The spot of light allows effective signalling to your dive partner.

Finn Light 3600 design and materials

The light head construction makes the switching easier—no more searching for the small button in the dark. The magnetic ring stops in accurately defined positions when changing the light modes.

Cooling ribs on the head create the unique look of the Finn Light 3600 series.

The perfectly machined battery case and deliberate details come with the superior design of this light.

With aluminium alloy covered with a hard eloxal coating, the lamp is intended for use in extreme conditions.
