We’re located on the Isle of Portland (in Dorset) because Portland has been one of the most popular scuba diving locations in the United Kingdom even before we set up operations here back in the year 2000.

On one side, we’re minutes away from the sheltered waters of Portland Marina and Harbour, while on the other, it’s just a brief walk to reach our famous scuba diving destination Chesil Cove and start of the 16-mile-long Chesil Beach.  

Portland’s location makes it ideal for scuba diving, freediving, snorkelling and other surface water sports activities.

The balanced piston MK25 EVO Black Tech first stage offers excellent resistance to freezing, superb inhalation sensitivity and instant delivery of air on demand.

The G260 Carbon Black Tech second stage, with its large diaphragm, internal metal components and high-flow exhaust valve for excellent breathing sensitivity and resistance to freezing, ratchets up its ruggedness with the addition of a carbon fiber front cover.

Lightweight and extremely durable, carbon fiber can resist substantial shocks without damage. The first and second stages feature a Black Tech scratch-resistant metal parts coating that protects against salt water and corrosion.

Also included is a zippered fabric bag with specially fitted padding to protect the regulator during storage and transport.

MK25 EVO Black First Stage

  • Air-balanced flow-through piston in a nickel-plated brass body coated with DLC process provides constant and effortless airflow unaffected by depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate
  • Patented XTIS (Extended Thermal Insulating System) thermally insulates the inner mechanism from the environment, improving cold-water resistance by 30% and delaying ice formation in extreme cold-water conditions without compromising breathing performance. Key insulation system components are visible in blue 

  • Spring insulating coating, body insulating bushing, anti-freeze cap, and bigger body and cap thread all work in concert with the XTIS to improve cold-water performance 

  • Anti-freeze protection radically increases breathing reliability when diving in the most extreme water temperatures 

  • Two opposing high-pressure ports allow the first stage to be positioned either up or down.

  • The lightweight carbon fiber design is 24 grams lighter than the standard G260, making it more comfortable for those long diving days.
  • Durable Black Tech DLC coating on metal parts protects against the ravages of salt water and corrosion and minor scratches. 

  • Internal metal components, including the air barrel and valve inlet tube, increase resistance to freezing when diving in extreme conditions. 

  • Air-balanced valve evens out the inhalation effort at varying depths and supply pressures. 

  • Water circulation holes in the front cover enhance underwater breathing smoothness. 

  • High-flow exhaust valve reduces exhalation effort for better overall breathing comfort. 

  • A diver-adjustable inhalation effort knob fine-tunes air delivery to suit changing depths, 
water conditions and personal tastes. 

  • Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) dive/pre-dive switch prevents free flow in cold 
water or when used as an octopus. 

  • The large spring-based purge button is easy to use, even when wearing thick gloves. 

  • Reversible LP hose attachment makes adjusting hose routing for any diving 
configuration easy.

DIN or A-clamp first stage?

Most of our divers prefer DIN fitting on the 1st stage regulator. A DIN regulator has a threaded post which screws into the inside of a DIN tank valve and has no additional metal or braces that run behind the valve. This, together with the position of its o-ring, creates a more secure seal on the tank.

YOKE (or A-Clamp) 1st stages have an oblong metal brace that completely encircles the tank valve when in place and is screwed down on the tank valve when the yoke screw is tightened.

Both regulators seal to the scuba tank through an o-ring where the o-ring on a Yoke valve is in the tank valve itself as opposed to DIN regulators with their own o-ring.

DIN fittings are commonly accepted as more secure, but Yoke valves are common throughout North America and recreational tourist destinations. A DIN regulator can be adapted to Yoke valves by using an A-clamp adapter for travel.
