What’s so special about the Shark Artemis Dive Torch?

Whether you go for the umbilical or hand-held version of this tried and tested torch, the first thing you’ll notice is how powerful and robust it feels.

Produced by the Swedish company Shark Dive Gear, the Shark Artemis Dive Torch pumps out a massive 6000-lumen 6º beam and can light up any dive site with its variable settings.

Vigorously tested and used in demanding, deep and cold conditions by Team Reel Diving members, the torch will give you hours of dive time covering long dives at depth with decompression or a whole weekend of diving.

With the light head and its setting being identical on both the hand-held and umbilical versions, the Shark Artemis dive torch boasts three power settings: 20%, 50% and 100%, with burn times depending on which version you choose.

Shark Artemis Umbilical:

Save Mode (20%): 900+ min

Operational Mode (50%): 360 min

Bood Mode (100%): 180 min

Sharm Artemis Hand-held:

Save Mode (20%): 600+ min

Operational Mode (50%): 180 min

Bood Mode (100%): 60+ min

Looking at the Shark Artemis Dive Torch

Light Head:

Every effort has been made to ensure the Shark Artemis dive torch can consistently meet and even exceed its maximum depth rating.

The glass (lens) on the light head reflector is held in place with a circular cover boasting 6 screws as if made for commercial operations, ensuring minimum flexibility of the glass as pressure grows.

The threads on the light head are deep, and three o-rings ensure a secure leak-proof connection.

Additional transport safety comes with a width and height adjustable Goodman Handle that can fold down on the light head to protect the reflector and to prevent the magnetic switch from accidentally being switched on there is even a screw-in removable lock.

Umbilical:

The opposite male-female ends of a reliable and robust umbilical cable connect the Shark Artemis dive torch light head to the battery canister.

The umbilical cable can be completely removed from both the light head and battery canister, with each connection point then protected with separate screw caps.

The two jubilee clips on the side of the canister hold a robust 2-inch wide webbing loop to be used for waist harness mounting and are protected by a rubber coating.

Built and distributed by Shark Dive Gear, this torch has a manufacturer warranty for up to 2 years while, like other manufacturers, the battery pack is warrantied for 6 months.**

Depending on which version you choose, the price point of the Shark Artemis Dive Torch makes it sit just between the popular Orca D630 and the Halcyon Focus 2 for its power and long run times - sure to be attractive both to aspiring and experienced technical divers alike.
